Meditation is important because it helps my clients to quiet their minds and lower their stress levels. As a professional Spiritual Coach, I’ve also learned that meditative exercises are vital elements that help my clients achieve their desired self-help goals as quickly as possible.
I am a Spiritual Life Coach who has been doing psycho-spiritual work since 1977, and my decades of field experience have taught me that I need to lay a solid foundation of meditative exercises when working with new coaching clients.
Meditation is important because it helps my clients to quiet their minds and lower their stress levels. As a professional Spiritual Coach, I’ve also learned that meditative exercises are vital elements that help my clients achieve their desired self-help goals as quickly as possible.
As a Spiritual Coach, when I first start working with a new clients, I ask them probing questions to discover what types of meditation will work best for them. Because there are many different types of meditation that can help to quiet my client’s mind.
Four Categories of Meditations
*Please note that there are many different styles within each of these four categories of meditation.
- Physical Meditations- such as Yoga, Tai Chi, and Walking Meditations.
- Chanting Meditations-where you sing your Self into a deep meditative state of consciousness.
- Visualization Meditations- which work best with neophyte meditators, especially if they use a prerecorded meditation.
- Breathing Meditations- where you focus on your breath and feel the distinction how the “in” breath feels different from the “out” breath.
To quote Swami Muktananda, “All rivers lead to the ocean of God’s bliss.” As a Spiritual Coach this means to me that it does not matter which meditation method you use as long as you form the habit of practicing the meditation that works best for you on a daily basis.
The Primary Benefit of Meditating
As a Spiritual Coach, the most important thing I want my coaching clients to grok about meditation, is that they are- NOT the Voice Inside their Head. I tell them, “If you observe IT objectively, you will see that much of what the voice says is meaningless. Most of this egoic “talking” is wasting your precious time and depleting you of your valuable life force energy.”
When an old Zen Buddhist Master was asked to explain the benefits of meditation, he answered in five words, saying “No Egoic Identification = No problems.” This is why as a Spiritual Life Coach, I support my coaching clients to form the Habit of Meditating every day, so they can live a more serene, psycho-spiritually grounded life.

The Primary Benefit for Practicing the Spiritual Distinction Meditation
After many decades of working as a Spiritual Coach, I found that the Spiritual Distinction Meditation is the best meditation, for training my Spiritual Life Coach clients that will accelerate the achievement of their self-improvement goals.
The Spiritual Distinction Meditation is a very different kind of meditation for several reasons. Out of all the different types of meditation, it is the only mediation I am aware of in which you hold your breath between the “in” and the “out” breaths and use your body’s sensations to help quiet your mind. But the greatest benefit, is that this meditation trains you to feel the difference between the paradoxical distinctions, such as “I Am” Consciousness from what I “have” and “experience.” And the most famous spiritual paradox of all being- “I Am” a Spiritual BE-ing having a human experience.
All of these paradoxical spiritual distinctions are important to grok, because as a Spiritual Life Coach my clients hire me to help them create permanent behavioral changes, based on what we determine are their most important self-help goals. And if they cannot feel the paradoxical difference between their ego-intellect and the intuitive language of their feelings communications, it will be nearly impossible for them to achieve their goals.
