First and foremost, we give our students the tools to be the most impactful and effective Coaches they can be. Yes. The certification program was designed to be used as a stand-alone or in combination with your current practice. You can take all Coaching lessons as they are, or incorporate specific elements into your current practice. We also have graduates who go into specialties. For example, the course covers a wide range of subjects [Money mastery, Weight Mastery, Parenting Mastery, etc] but some students graduate and focus their whole practice on one element like Relationship mastery and how to find love. 

You will be taught the spiritual philosophy of over 100 famous self-help authors such as Tolle, Chopra, Dyer, etc. combined with
HLC’s unique “on-the-job training” and this hands-on experience is what you need to learn to be successful. This is important because
 philosophical concepts ‘ALONE’ will not professionally prepare you to do the work you love and were born to do.

Once you are an enrolled student, you will always have access to your digital materials via the student portal. 

Yes. If you choose to begin with any of the independent study, self-paced courses and need more support and/or you want to complete the course quicker with a structured schedule, you have the option to matriculate into the Interactive Certification program. Interactive Spiritual Life Coaching certification course- In order to keep a high standard of support and personalized attention both during the class and outside of class, HLC keeps the class sizes small. Often a semester will close early once capacity is reached. Those who do not make the cutoff will be placed in the following semester. 

A subset course contains materials and Self-Mastery Assignments from the main Spiritual Life Coaching certification course that has been sectioned off to be taken individually.

Often, a student takes a subset course because their budget or time constraints won’t allow them to enroll in the full certification course.  This allows the student to start working toward their certification piece-by-piece instead of putting their entire career path on hold until they can enroll in the full certification course.

Bonus- Students can receive tuition credit if they matriculate within 90 days to the next course. All assignments within each module can be credited toward the full certification course.

Personal Journey- Many students take the subset courses, not with the intention to become certified but for their personal journey as a way to empower and improve their lives.

Yes, HLC’s rapid growth is creating career opportunities for Professional Certification course graduates. HLC has a Residency Program where we hire our best grads to do life coaching and training. If the new grad does well as an HLC resident then he or she can then apply to become either an HLC Affiliate or apply for full-time employment.

The interactive certification course is 18 weeks long.

For the independent study version of the course, the student has one year from the date of enrollment to submit all requirements to the office and schedule the open-book test.

Independent Study Course- For the self-paced Independent study certification course, support comes from the Coach's 101 Orientation class and 1 Certification Prep Class with an Instructor to go over your course materials and logistics to set you up on the path to success!

No. No travel is involved with interactive courses. All classes are held in a virtual classroom.

Students are responsible for determining the legal issues involved in opening a holistic practice as a spiritual Life Coach. The laws differ in each state or locality and our policy is to not offer detailed legal information. We recommend you contact your state or local government for legal interpretations, conduct Internet research or visit your public library as it is important for you to know what your legal boundaries are as a spiritual life coach.

No, the Spiritual Life Coaching certification program is all-inclusive. It includes all Coaching "how to" training and class support documents and client materials.

Students are responsible for having accessible and reliable internet access and Microsoft Word, Excel and the ability to open Adobe PDFs as these are the formats of HLC's digital documents. 

HLC was established in 1993, and is the oldest life coaching and spiritual counseling certification school in North America. HLC acquired its accreditation through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners [AADP] because the International Coach’s Federation [ICF] as well as all the other current accreditation organizations did not exist.

HLC respects the ICF as a professional organization, but HLC has intentionally remained with AADP because they specialize in complementary, holistic modalities such as integrative psychiatry, massage therapy, spiritual life coaching, reflexology, Reki, etc.

Today there are several agencies that offer a life coaching accreditation: AADP, IAC, ICF, and USLCA. All of these organizations are independent privately held corporations that are not backed by anyone unifying governmental authority. Since 1993 HLC has witnessed many accreditation businesses open and close its doors, and that is why we are proud of our long-standing relationship with AADP.

The work of people and groups such as Byron Katie, Avatar, etc. are admirable and HLC respects the work they have done.
