HLC's professional certification courses foundational objectives are standardized, in the same way that medical doctors curriculums are standardized. The first 70% of the certification course objectives are the same for all three certification modalities and the last 30% of the course objectives focus on the healing modality that you choose, whether that is Spiritual Counseling, Life Coaching or Self-Parenting.

The professional certification curriculum includes Eastern and Western coaching and counseling methods, NLP, Behavior Modification, Alpha Visualization Techniques, and various other "Spirit First!" training methods including the Spiritual Distinction Meditation, Self-mastery and Self-parenting techniques.

INSTRUCTION: Answer all question in first party

1. Why is Self-mastery spelled WORK vs. being a false belief such as "I'm broken" or a magical belief such as "When I lose weight then I'll be happy"?
2. What does the acronym OBM mean?
3. Why will you act out or act in about so-called trial issues until you see, feel and heal your original belief that is triggering your emotional upset?
4. Why do you have to internalize and emotionalize to create permanent behavior change?
5. Why do you have to surface the Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How of your original belief?
6. Why do you have to surface the Mood Level that you were experiencing right before you experienced your trauma?
7. Why do you need to understand the inter-dependency and inter-relationships that you were in during the time you didn't feel emotionally, physically and/or sexually Safe, Sane and Secure?
8. Why did you ego mind act as your guardian angel to defend you when you experienced the trauma to help you survive?
9. In your own words define what these six ego defenses are: denial, repression, disassociation, projectional transference, minimizing and conversion.
10. Define each of these Self-mastery terms in such a way that it demonstrates that you understand how each individual action term is a vital ingredient of your Self-mastery action plan: Study - Practice - Emotionalize.
11. Define each of these Self-mastery terms in such a way that it demonstrates that you understand how each individual action term is a vital ingredient of your Self-mastery action plan: See - Feel - Heal.
12. Define each of these Self-mastery terms in such a way that it demonstrates that you understand how each individual action term is a vital ingredient of your Self-mastery action plan: Duration - Intensity - Frequency.
