THE HLC DIFFERENCE

“A personal message from the founder of HLC Hu Dalconzo”

NamastÉ- My name is Hu Dalconzo and I am the founder of Holistic Learning Centers (HLC). Building HLC has been a spiritually-based, magnificent obsession of mine for more than 30-years. When I wrote the nine mastery books that HLC was built upon, I felt more like a “scribe” than an author. The mastery textbooks, yet unborn, would pull me out of my warm bed many mornings before four o’clock. Often, I felt as though I had no choice but to give birth to these mastery books and clinically tested, self-help exercises, even when I didn’t want to.

Recording, testing and documenting them as they flowed through me felt like a persistent pebble in my sneaker—a pebble that I had to remove if I wanted to feel better and I thank God that I did because…“I teach what I most need to learn and heal, one soul at a time starting with mine.”

HLC is neither a church, nor a ministry, nor does HLC attest to any particular religious point of view. HLC is strictly a non-sectarian educational organization of higher learning that provides courses and educational products for spiritually awakened students, typically referred to as “homemakers” in the East.

I’ve found that staying spiritually conscious, while dealing with the “world mentality as a homemaker, is much harder then staying consciously focused while attending a spiritual retreat. Transcending the “world mentality” is a major part of a homemaker’s challenge on the… journey home to the Self!

In Anne Morrow Lindbergh’s book, Gifts From The Sea, she defines how challenging it is to lead a spiritually conscious life as a homemaker.  She writes, “With a new awareness, both painful and humorous, I begin to understand why the saints were rarely married women (or men). I am convinced it has nothing inherently to do, as I once supposed, with chastity or children. It has to do primarily with distractions…bearing, rearing, feeding, and educating children…the running of a household…which is counter to leading a contemplative, or saintly life.”

I believe that we homemakers must learn how to make all of our activities conscious and spiritually aware, which in Eastern traditions is called Karmic Yoga. In keeping with this idea, I co-designed HLC’s "Spirit-First" self-help exercises to help householders, like you and me, remain consciously aware of being "in the world, but not of it"

HLC’s courses and textbooks are the result of careful analysis of the lifework of some of the most insightful Self-help authors, spiritual leaders and gurus that the world has ever knownspiritual masters such as Christ and Buddha, and nationally known Self-help authors such as Eckhart Tolle, Wayne Dyer, Stuart Wilde, Ram Dass, Marianne Williamson, Deepak Chopra, Edgar Cayce, Gary Zukav, Swami Muktananda and Louise Hay, to name a few. (See bibliography for the complete list).

After decades of research, I found that there are sixteen overlapping lessons that all of these masters taught, with one exception. They all used their own unique phraseology. As soon as I realized this, my dharmic mission became clear. I was called to systematize the empowering words of these masters into one, unifying terminology that would transcend spiritual and religious boundaries and take the reader to a place where we all unite as One Spirit.

I do not claim to have originated anything in any of the textbooks that I have written beyond what I was taught by these spiritual leaders. What I was blessed to do, however, was to organize these spiritual masters’ universal truths and laws into a practical and usable format, so that they can be properly interpreted and universally applied. I learned how to surrender to and trust my Intuitive heart, and as I did, She showed me how to capture the essence of these masters’ overlapping truths and principles and then how to present them to you, the reader, in small, manageable pieces to make them easier to understand.

A question I’m asked often is… “What is meant by Self-Mastery?” I will answer that question by defining what the term “master” means: A Masteris one who creates masterpieces.Michelangelo was considered a “master” because he created works of art, which most people consider to be master-pieces. Michelangelo became a “master” artist by breaking his art down into small pieces and mastering one piece at a time.

It has taken me thirty years to break down HLC’s “mastery” courses into small, manageable pieces. I began by taking Self-mastery, which is an abstract, hard to understand, esoteric concept, and I broke it down piece by piece until it became a concrete, step-by-step, easy-to-understand, specific set of clinically proven exercises that empower the awakened.

When you enroll in any of HLC’s mastery courses, you will be taught how to master each piece of the course, one small piece at a time, using the easy-to-follow mastery exercises until, like Michelangelo, you have created your own masterpiece… a Self-mastered life!

HLC’s courses will help you to achieve the Self-mastery that you inherently deserve, if you are willing to commit, study, practice, internalize and emotionalize what you learn with a high degree of truth, honesty and courage.

It is very important to emotionalize these mastery lessons, and this is quite a challenge since intellectual knowledge is easier to acquire than emotional knowledge. Conceptual thought does not require you to change your behavior. When you learn to emotionalize, your behavior will change and the imprint will be permanent. Emotionalizing is the key to permanent behavioral change. Knowledge without action has no value. It is easy to read about why Self-mastery is important, but to do it, live it, and feel it so that your actions create permanent behavioral change requires you to commit, study, practice, internalize and emotionalize.

My hope is that you will use HLC’s clinically proven self-help exercises to transcend your attachment to the illusions created by the material world, and in so doing help you to master “being in the world, but not of it” and then with that empowerment you can help, SAVE…the Humans!™

May God bless you on your journey back home to your inner Self… Namaste`
